Hi There!
We have some photo's of our trip to St James' park! We had a fantastic day. We saw Gary, our very own 'Gazza' when we first arrived, It was amazing seeing him on the pitch, what an opportunity for him. Sadly, we didn't get any pictures of him as we were too far away. We have asked him whether he has any at home that we could post for you.
The place was packed out. Gavin J in his element.
Peter, one of our trusted Bloggers, just loved it!
Andrew and John trying to keep Sonia calm!
Alan and Norman totally engrossed.
Don't think John F actually stopped grinning all afternoon!
Oi! Quiet at the back!
Unfortunately, our photographer ran out of steam and forgot to take photo's of the actual players! Next time we will have to be more specific or perhaps, take the photo's ourselves!
We have an update on the building work here at Marquisway. It has had to stop for the time being. This is because we have swallows nesting there. Swallows are protected by law. The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. This means that swallows, their nests, eggs and young cannot be moved, damaged or intentionally killed. Fines or even prison could be imposed by the Court.
Some pictures of Swallows.
Don't forget that next week is our BarBeQue, that's the 20th August. We have no idea who is going to be chief BarBeQuer yet, hot job for someone!
If you usually bring a packed lunch you will need to pay £3.40 for the barbeque. If you don't fancy a burger or hot dog, that's fine you will still be able to join your friends as you would normally at lunch time.Next week we are hoping to get some photo's of our Bloggers. This will help you to know who to give your advertisements, stories and news info' to.
Have a good week,
The Bloggers.
