Special Olympic Gateshead scooped another award on Saturday 14th November, when the sporting club beat off 7 other finalists to win the "Putting People First/Personalisation" award at the NE Care Awards. The win allows the club to represent the NE region in going forward for the Great Britain Care Awards in London and Birmingham in June 2016. Congratulations to all involved.

The Carnival

The performing arts team has decided to review this years production on 1st December at Marquisway. Tickets will be on sale soon.
As you know this years theme is "Carnival". Our performers with flamboyantly created costumes and energetic dance routines present an amazing Caribbean party complete with sounds, sights and explosive dance music. Below are some pictures to give you a flavour of how colourful and vibrant carnivals are.

Our Carnival promises to be quite a spectacular!

And finally...

Paris

As you may know there was a terrorist attack in Paris, France on Friday 13th November. There were 129 people killed and over 350 injured. As a mark of respect we held a minutes silence at Marquisway on Monday 16th at 11am. We  hope that you join with us in sending our deepest sympathies to the people of France.
